Nina von Westernhagen
PhD student
Nina von Westernhagen is currently completing her PhD examining water quality processes in Lake Rotoiti and specifically the impact of Ohau Channel inflow and Okawa Bay on nutrient dynamics in the lake. She is using water sampling, field data and numerical modelling to analyse and simulate Lake Rotoiti’s circulation, water quality and the impact of the Ohau Channel. She is currently working extensively with the 3-D model ELCOM-CAEDYM.
